Lois Grant

Lois is a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant with experience supporting children and young people across a wide range of ages, abilities and communication profiles.

She works closely with children, families and educational teams to support communication development and build confidence in the adults around them.Lois is passionate about understanding and validating each individual’s experience of communication, recognising that every child has their own unique way of connecting and expressing themselves.

Lois particularly enjoys helping families and professionals develop a deeper understanding of a child’s communication and supporting them to become responsive and confident communication partners.Alongside her communication-focused experience, Lois has a particular interest in child development, attachment and trauma.

She brings a compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming and child-centred approach to her work, always seeking to understand the whole child and create a safe and supportive environment in which they can communicate and be themselves.Lois is managed by Alex Arden, Senior Speech and Language Therapist, and works as part of the wider team supporting children and young people. She also assists with Autism and ADHD assessments, contributing to the assessment process and supporting a holistic understanding of each child’s individual strengths, needs and experiences.
