Gold Standard Psychological Assessments

ADHD Assessments
for Adults and Children

ADHD shapes daily life in ways that can be easy to overlook and hard to explain to others. It influences how we focus, organise, regulate emotion and manage time. For some, concentration can feel like chasing a moving target, present one moment and gone the next, especially with tasks that feel repetitive or uninteresting. Impulsivity can bring spontaneity and creativity, but also decisions made before there's time to think them through. Restlessness, whether physical or mental, can make stillness genuinely uncomfortable, while forgetfulness and disorganisation often lead to frustration that builds over years.

An ADHD assessment can be a turning point, not just in receiving a diagnosis, but in finally understanding why certain things have always felt harder than they should. It can help uncover the creativity, energy and quick thinking that often exist alongside the challenges, reframing a lifetime of self-criticism into something clearer and kinder. For many, it answers questions that have lingered since childhood, or explains patterns only noticed in adulthood.

You don't need to keep managing this on your own. With proper understanding, thoughtful guidance and the right support in place, whether for yourself, your child or someone you love, it becomes possible to move from frustration and self-doubt toward genuine clarity, self-acceptance and the confidence to thrive on your own terms.

What to expect from your ADHD assessment

Step 1: Initial Screening

The initial step is a screening, in which you complete short questionnaires for our clinicians to assess whether your experiences are consistent with ADHD. This provides clarity and reassurance before you decide to proceed with any costs or additional appointments.

Stage two involves a considerate, supportive online conversation with a psychologist. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss your background, early experiences, and the ways ADHD-related challenges have influenced your life.

Our adult Psychiatrist will meet you for a 1 hour session. Our adult Psychiatrist will meet you for a 1-hour session to discuss your assessment in detail, answer any questions you may have, and explore your experiences and symptoms. At this point, the Psychiatrist will finalise your diagnosis and discuss treatment options with you.

Following your assessment, you’ll receive a comprehensive report outlining the outcome and providing personalised recommendations, giving you greater insight into your experiences and clear guidance on the next steps. Our assessment process is grounded in established clinical evidence and aligned with NHS NICE standards, supporting a thorough, consistent, and dependable assessment outcome.

Our care continues beyond the point of diagnosis. ADHD can be supported through medication, psychological therapy, or a combination of both. As a prescribing practice, we can provide ongoing medication management while working alongside your NHS GP.Any psychological support will be tailored to your individual needs and focused on the challenges that matter most to you. Where appropriate, we can also recommend additional support, such as an ADHD coach or occupational therapist.

For Child Assessments, there is an option to have the assessment conducted in-person at one of our global hubs at an additional cost.
