Anthony Wharton, Msc
Assistant Psychologist
Anthony is an Assistant Psychologist with an MSc in Psychology (Distinction) from the University of Wolverhampton and a Diploma in Creative Therapies for Children. He is ADOS-trained and has experience supporting children, young people, and families through evidence-informed, person-centred interventions, with a particular interest in autism, ADHD, emotional wellbeing, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Anthony works with the SLC6A1 Foundation, providing psychoeducation, emotional support, and advocacy for families affected by rare neurodevelopmental disorders. He has also facilitated social skills groups and delivered one-to-one support for autistic and ADHD young people, helping to develop confidence, emotional regulation, communication, and social connection in safe, supportive environments.
Alongside his clinical work, Anthony has contributed to research on autism, ADHD, behavioural addictions, and child mental health. His research has supported presentations at international paediatric conferences and public education initiatives, helping translate current psychological research into practical, evidence-informed approaches for professionals and families.Anthony also supports students with dyslexia by developing tailored learning strategies and is currently completing a BPS-accredited MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology as part of his pathway towards becoming a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist and HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist.
Anthony is a member of the multidisciplinary (MDT) autism assessment team and is available for follow-up sessions with clients, providing support and guidance within his areas of expertise.
